The Reflect Experience

How long does the Experience last?

The height of the Experience lasts 4min. The satellite takes 12min to traverse from horizon to horizon

Is the length of the Experience negotiable?

We can do shorter but not longer

How bright will it be?

It will be brighter than a supermoon

Will the public be notified when/where the experiences are happening? I would like to get a first hand view.

For public events, yes. For private events, no.

Will your service convince people that the Earth isn't flat?

Potentially, having a satellite point towards you and reflect photons will be helpful for internalizing orbital mechanics and our place in the cosmos

Orbital Queue Bookings

The booking portal asks me to enter a price. Why?

The price is variable, this is so people of all wealth levels can access the Experience. The queue will be ordered by highest price to lowest.

Why can I not select a date/time?

The Orbital Queue will be served opportunistically whenever Reflect deems a satellite available & dispatchable

How many days before delivery will I receive my Availability Notice?

30 days

When is my balance due?

After you accept your Availability Notice and your service becomes scheduled

I know my deposit is refundable, is there a time when it becomes non-refundable?

Yes, once you accept your Availability Notice your deposit becomes non-refundable

Do I need permission from my local government?

Potentially, you are expected to understand and comply with your local regulatory climate and delivery scenario

What happens if I'm not available for the date in my Availability Notice?

You are able to deny your Availability Notice and keep your position in the Orbital Queue

Will the light start at an exact time?

Yes, we will give you a delivery date and time that will be accurate to +/- 15min

How is the Experience affected by clouds?

Cloud cover reduces the brightness of our service but only by 20%

Are there rain checks?

If we must reschedule service due to inclement weather, you will keep your position in the Orbital Queue.

Are there any environmental, flora, or fauna effects?

We expect there to be negligible effects from our first satellite. With that said, we plan to work with global third-party organizations & academics to study our satellites' long-term effects.

Does Reflect Orbital sponsor Experiences?

No, we do not. Although we are open to partnerships with world-class organizations - if you have a proposal, please reach out to contact@reflectorbital.com

Where in the world can you serve?

Reflect Orbital can serve any location in the world due to our lack of any ground infrastructure needed. With that said, Reflect is required to comply with federal export control and related legislation. Please reach out to your Experience Manager for more details if needed.
